final fitting #2

I had my final fitting for my second garment today, a wool gabardine jacket with a silk organza overlay. The fitting went well, except for the fact that the leggings I made were too small, so I'm going to scrap them and have the model wear sheer pantyhose instead. I went to American Apparel and got these right after class. The color is such a pretty shade of raspberry. I think the sheerness of the hose will lend itself really well to my collection, seeing as how pretty much all of the fabric I'm using is sheer! Anyhoo, of course I had to buy myself this poppy nail polish while I was there. I'm so in love with that color right now.

I really can't wait to get my pieces photographed professionally. I feel like I have endless photos of the pieces on a dress form or little snapshots on the fit models, but it will be so nice to have some really good photos for my portfolio. Luckily, today one of the girls in my class took photos of everyone's work on her super fancy camera, so hopefully those turn out nice. Then maybe if they are good I will post them on here!
