spring outfit time

I was doing that thing this morning where I sit around at the computer drinking coffee and looking at facebook (where nothing interesting was happening as usual)... So I decided to make a lil outfit over at Polyvore.  I don't do it very often, but every once in a while I just wanna pretend I actually have all these clothes.  Some are feasible I suppose.  Though the Jil Sander sandals are from last year I think.  But I want them!  And some crazy printed pants as well! And as a plus, I think (though I don't want to jinx it) Chicago might be having an actual, real spring this year.  Unheard of.  I could actually wear this outfit today.  Really and truly.

a purse story

Fact:  I have never spent more than $30 on a purse.  I guess I've just always gotten lucky.  I'll find them at thrift stores mainly, or H&M, but even then I have to realllly like it to spend the money.  One of my favorite purses (you can see it just below in a pile of quilts) I've ever owned I bought for $10 at Village Discount and the woman who sold it to me was like, "Are you sure  you want this? It's TEN dollars!"  But I bought it over 2 years ago and carry it pretty much all the time.  So when I saw this new bag from Baggu, I was instantly in love.  I of course saw what I wanted to see.  The prices start at $30, but this one is $150.  Still not a terrible price... Maybe it'd make a good gift idea?  (hint hint husband if you're reading this, but maybe in brown)  They also have some pretty adorable clutches.  I'm always in awe of a woman who carries a clutch on a day to day basis.  Seriously, doesn't she need more stuff?  Anyhoo, go check out Baggu!  Great, drool worthy items.
