jeni's amazingly splendid ice creams

If you haven't tried Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, I suggest you run out right now and find some.  (You can find it here in Chicago.)  Preferably the Salty Caramel.  Omg, it is so delicious.  I discovered her ice cream probably about a couple years ago when my good friend Mary would share hers with me.  I thought she was crazy for spending $11 on a pint of ice cream, but then I found Queen City Cayenne, then Salty Caramel, then Lemon Frozen Yogurt... Now I'm hooked. I used to get Haagen Dazs and thought it was good.  I can't even bother with that anymore.  I mean, if I'm already spoiling myself with ice cream, why not get the good stuff?  Plus, I'm supporting a local Chicago business and a kind of local Midwestern business.  Well,  a friend of mine recently became ice cream obsessed and purchased Jeni's new recipe book.  It is such an inspiration to read as a someone who wants to own their own business.  Her story is great to read and makes me want to support her business even more, even if that means I eat way more ice cream than I really need.
